Her professional background includes a 2-year internship with the department of welfare in Jerusalem in the early 2000s, and she also spent 2 years as social worker with Israel’s Ministry of Health.

Experienced in interacting with those with LGBTQ backgrounds, Ms. Zelenko spent 5 years as a therapist with Tikva at Ohel Children's Home and Family Services. She made use of fluency in Hebrew, English, and Yiddish in facilitating significant improvements among teen and adult patients with personality and mood disorders, as well as childhood traumas.
